In recent years, the country developments in all fields have been based on a kind of attachment to biotechnological projects. This is despite the fact that the development of agriculture depends on various technical factors, on one hand, and social, economic and cultural considerations and extension, on the other hand. As a result of this situation, despite the large investments, the results were not as expected. The lack of success can be largely attributed to the lack of economic, social and cultural studies and extension training in the direction of farm management in the agricultural sector. In this article, while explaining the importance and necessity of social and economic research, as well as an overview of the background of rural social research in the country, the need to pay attention to the economic, social, cultural and farm management dimensions in increasing the effectiveness of agricultural technical and specialized research has been noted. Focusing on research in biological and biotechnological issues and in the absence of simultaneous research in economic, social and cultural fields and neglecting the principles and standards of farm management and extension trainings have brought various impairments to the country. Some suggestions of the article consists of planning and implementation of some special topics for investigation in rural social research and agricultural economics and farm management.
