Abstract
Nuclear agriculture, as an innovative technology, employs isotopic and nuclear irradiation techniques to enhance agricultural productivity, foster genetic diversity, and improve crop quality. This technology finds applications in sustainable resource management, reducing dependence on chemical inputs, and boosting plant resilience against environmental stressors. This study, based on a comprehensive review of up-to-date scientific literature, explores the role of nuclear agriculture in producing climate-resilient crops, minimizing post-harvest losses, and extending food shelf life. The results indicate that this approach not only improves water and soil efficiency but also contributes significantly to environmental sustainability by reducing ecological pollution. However, challenges such as safety concerns, high implementation costs, and public acceptance underline the necessity of clear regulatory frameworks and societal awareness. With its advanced scientific and technical capabilities, nuclear agriculture offers a sustainable, long-term solution to address global food security and climate change challenges. Promoting international collaboration, investing in research and development, and raising public awareness are essential to harness the full potential of this technology. The findings suggest that, with appropriate supportive policies, nuclear agriculture can become a pivotal component in ensuring global food security and fostering environmental sustainability.
